Iraq’s Supreme Water Council, led by Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, announced urgent steps to confront the country’s worsening drought.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Baghdad will press Turkiye to release more water into the Tigris and Euphrates, and hold a meeting with Iran on flows from the Karun and Karkheh rivers.
